Our Story

Snehal Creation began in 2003, not as a kurti brand but as a fabric supplier to small garment factories in Mumbai. Founder Mahesh Agarwal could see the fabric business slowing down while ready-made garments were growing fast. He took the risk, moved into manufacturing, and started with one product, the short kurti.

Early orders went through exporters, and export was always the dream. But a hard lesson followed. We designed and made the products, while the exporters kept the direct relationship with overseas buyers. When one of our designs did well in a foreign market, the same exporter would often get it copied cheaper elsewhere. It was our work, someone elses market.

That setback led to a decision most Indian manufacturers were not making in 2007. Mahesh knew how to code, so he built our own website to sell directly to international wholesale buyers, years before online B2B ordering was common in India. There was no playbook for it. We searched for wholesale stores and boutiques abroad, sent cold emails with product photos, and asked for small trial orders. The first real breakthrough came when a buyer from the USA placed an order of 100 to 125 pieces, liked what he received enough to fly to India and meet us in person, and became a long-term buyer. Orders slowly began coming in from five to seven countries, and our website had become our global showroom.

From there we kept solving the next problem a buyer actually had. New boutiques struggled to lock up capital in large batch orders, so from 2008 we started keeping ready stock of popular designs for instant dispatch, alongside the usual made-to-order production. In 2009 we built a presence on B2B platforms like IndiaMART and Alibaba, and by 2015 we had a fully dynamic website with online ordering, order history and downloadable product images. Fast replies and an always-updated catalogue became part of who we are.

Today, Snehal Creation is a Mumbai-based manufacturer serving wholesale buyers, boutiques and online sellers across 40+ countries, with 500+ ready-stock designs and new designs added regularly. We take part in major industry exhibitions including CMAI, Bharat Tex and IIGF. Some of our international buyers have stayed with us for 15 to 17 years, and for us that is the real measure of the business, not any single order.

A Real Example: From a Home-Based Seller to an Established UK Brand

In 2016, a UK-based customer placed a small first order while selling clothes from home. Our quality and pricing suited his market, so he registered his own brand and started listing on eBay and Amazon UK. His one requirement was simple: whenever a design became a hit, he needed to be able to restock it quickly, and we could. He tried other suppliers along the way, saw the difference in quality and service, and stayed with us. Ten years on, the relationship continues, and he now sells significant volumes online across the UK. When our customer grows, we grow. That is the model we build around.
